I find lots of conversations in the window on my email.?

Who are these people and why are their private conversations in my conversation window? And why is my user name being used by someone else to talk?

    Hi Reecee,

Conversations in the Conversations folder include a history of instant messages that have been sent to you in Yahoo! Messenger or Messenger Chat in Yahoo! Mail. One thing to note about the Conversations folder is that you don't actually have to respond to an instant message for it to appear in your history. Messages that were sent to you but that you never replied to will also appear there. In most cases, those types of messages are SPIM (SPAM for instant messaging). For information on SPIM and how best to handle it, please check out the following Yahoo! Messenger Help article:

    "Protecting yourself against SPAM/SPIM"

If you don't use Messenger Chat in Yahoo! Mail, you might also consider turning the feature "off" by signing out of it. If you're using the latest version of Yahoo! Mail, you can do this by following these steps:

    1. Within your Yahoo! Mail account, in the left column of the page, find Messenger.

    2. Click the yellow lightning bolt to the right of it.

Your default status will now be "Offline" in Yahoo! Mail, and you will remain offline until you choose to sign in again.

I hope this info helps! Please let us know either way!
