If Shakespeare were alive ......?

If Shakespeare were alive, which Royal Personage would he write a story about ?

He's written quite a few on the kings & emperors of that time.

But today, would he choose Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, or Princes William or Harry ?

Or a princess ?

Any other ?

Would the story be a tragedy, comedy, farce, drama, ...?

Which event(s) would he incorporate in the story ?

All views welcome :-)

When it came to royalty Shakespeare was not so much playful, but liked to "poke" at certain beliefs or fancies the monarch in question had. Witchcraft was a big one.

He would most likely do something with Queen Elizabeth and her damnedable love of Yorkies or Corgis or whatever those gremlins are she has. Horses are a love of hers as well.

I'd say he'd do Comedy or Drama because he'd had a field day with William and Harry and the whole lot of them. Mostly I'd think it would be about the daily life, maybe touch on the Jubilees or maybe, just maybe, Princess Diana's death.

Writing. purely on the instant he'd be on the manhattan cases bestseller's checklist, have 3 or 4 shows already in syndication, gained 6 or 7 Tony awards, 9 or 10 Oscar's for terrific script with yet another action picture already in production and oh yeah...a pending lawsuit against Larry David (author of "Seinfeld") for infringement as Shakespeare replace into the unique author of "a lot Ado approximately no longer something."

He'd write a tragedy called "Queen of Hearts" about the rise of Diana, Princess of Wales, and to her death caused by pursuit in the spotlight (the tragedy would focus not on the break up of her marriage, but the tragic events leading to her death).

Edit: I can see the tragedy played out after her split from Prince Charles, with relative flashbacks like when she was alone in front of the Taj Mahal.

Undoubtedly it would be Diana, and a tragedy incorporating the machinations of royal power as seen through the eyes of the commoners who know she was more one of them than a real Royal.

He would greatly portray the Tragedy of Princess Diana, Like "Helen of Troy" & "Cleopatra", he would have given some amazing lines on her beauty and aura.

He will wrote the book entitled "The End of the World".
