I have a Windows XP OS. For the last few days, I have to boot the compy Twice before it "settles" down.

When I start the compy, it boots fine. Then suddenly it shuts down completely. I have to re-start And it checks Drive C before Windows is set up.

The message tells me that it needs to check File System FAT32 ... and check disk for consistency Volume Serial number 1020-7395. What do these mean?

My tech-man has asked us to back-up everything & Only when the system collapses completely, will he be able to locate the problem.

Can anybody give some info or suggestions?

I take photos taken on my android phone. I'd prefer to Type out the text on my PC as a Word doc [Windows 7]. Then upload photo to PC & combine the 2. [I hate typing out long sentences on the mobile].

Also, I'd like color for the textual background, not plain white. You know how text on MS Paint leaves white spaces within letters...ugh !

Once I create such pics, I'd like to upload to pinterest...hence the need to have an image file format.

I also understand that one can probably use a PC photo program/editor ....but I can't seem to find any on my current listing of Windows programs. [This was updated over a year ago & I haven't needed to use it since].

The white petals are joined to a round Behind the main yellow circle of dcs/trs.

It appears to be either chains or longer posts [trs/dbltrs] within which the white petals are made.

In a couple of my newly knit projects [quilt border & cowl], after the very first wash, the stitches have "joined" together as in wool felt.

I used new yarn from the same brand & quality as always. But 2 of my projects now have a worn out look ! I washed in normal cold water - absolutely no warm water. And no dryer either.

I can't understand what are the possible causes ? It is supposed to be pure wool.

Now I'm all scared & freaked out for the projects I did This year ! Will I have to get them dry-cleaned?!

How can I prevent this clumping?

Next season, I'm going to switch to another brand, but what do I do about the present projects?!

I'm going with the suggested category ...

I finished crocheting slippers using wool.

Now I would like to glue [or sew?] insole OUTSIDE ie. as a sole, to the slipper.

Since we don't use wall-to-wall carpeting, I would like some protection as well as grip to the slippers.

I bought Scholl's odour control insoles & the Bata salesperson only knew that one should not apply PVA glue. What other type of glue can I use?

I might even try sewing them on, using the same wool yarn....but I hope someone will have some suggestions...
