Can I send someone a Facebook message, and then immediately block them?
Or would blocking them right after sending it void the message?

Of course. If you message then first, delete your chat history, and proceed to block any further communications with that person.

Yes you can do that. Not sure exactly how you block someone from a laptop because I haven't had one in over 10 months. I did however blocked someone once from my smart phone. I assume you would have to make sure he/she isn't your friend first. Then block him/her. The way I blocked this one person from my 'Android' smart phone, I went to her page. On the top right corner of my screen, was an icon that sorta looked like an envelope. I tapped that icon and it gave me the option to block that person, so I did. I assume you would have to do something similar with a regular computer, you're just gonna have to noodle around to find the option.
One thing for sure though...
A) make sure he/she isn't your friend.
B) go to his/her page then block him/her
AND YES... he/she will get message (even after you block him/her.)
Source(s): Like I said in my answer... I blocked. someone once. And it happened to me as well. I was arguing with this person through Facebook, so I de-friended him. He then sent me a MEAN ASS message, then immediately blocked me. I still received the message. - 8 years ago
It would show they got a message but wouldn't show from who it was from

why bother.. if you message them then block not only is it futile but isn't that rather cowardly?
Source(s): they're not going to see it. - 8 years ago
