What's your personal method of relieving stress?

I'm considering moving from Connecticut to Dallas and I'm wondering if I would need to hide the fact that I'm an Atheist. Nobody around here cares if you are religious or not, but is Dallas different?

Because I know that it is more socially conservative in the South, and I have no idea what to expect.

I'm not sure anymore if it is. My friend's mom was recently shot and killed, and one of my best friends survived a shooting. I have my own biases, but I'd like to hear many other diverse beliefs.

Americans, do you feel safe? Would you feel safer in a different state, different city, or different country?

Everyone else, would you feel safe living in America?

I'm sick of hearing about guns and shootings, you probably are too, but I'm scared.

What laptop do you recommend? Mac or PC? Any particular models too?

The most important things I need are:

1. Speed

2. Won't, or rarely, crashes

3. Able to control whether it goes to sleep after a certain amount of time (my current laptop doesn't allow this. It goes to sleep mode after 60 seconds of inactivity. So annoying!)

4. At least 150 GB of storage

Here's the short version:

A man threatened to kill me. He also asked me where I lived (I didn't tell him, and I told him to leave me alone).

How can I best protect myself?

I don't think he owns a gun, and I don't want to buy one. But would it be safer just to have one?

I just recently broke up with my girlfriend.

She was my first girlfriend ever, and I feel devastated.

I'm scared I'll never find another girl as nice or as beautiful as her, and that I won't find a girl that'll like me too.

I liked my ex, but we weren't that close, so I'm fine with finding another girl eventually.

How can I move on an find a "rebound girl"?

I want to wish her a Merry Christmas, because we've become really good friends since the break-up, but I don't want to creep her out.

Would she think I want to get back with her, or would she appreciate it?

Why do Jehovah's Witnesses keep coming to my house? It really annoys my mom, because she works 10 hours a day and hates coming home to it. Are they trying to convert us? Do they have an agenda?

My first job was door knocking, so I understand and respect what they do. But I NEVER went to the same house twice. These guys bother us every other week

As you probably know, two Australian radio hosts pulled a prank on a nurse at a London hospital that was treating Kate Middleton. The nurse then committed suicide, and people in the media and online are putting the two radio hosts at fault.

Here's what I think: If I got a flat tire on my car and killed myself, would Goodyear tires be to blame? Or would I have just reached my breaking point, and my suicide has nothing to do with tires?

We've been dating for a few months now, but she just admitted to me that she's still in love with her ex. She dumped him for me originally, so I should have figured the same could happen to me. I think she's losing attraction to me. She keeps blowing me off and talks about her ex more and more

I smoke hookah at a lounge with my girlfriend occasionally. We usually smoke 2 or 3 times a month. Could smoking this much lead to cancer? Or can my body tolerate that amount of smoking?
