Hookah Question: Health Effects?

I smoke hookah at a lounge with my girlfriend occasionally. We usually smoke 2 or 3 times a month. Could smoking this much lead to cancer? Or can my body tolerate that amount of smoking?

Of course this could lead to cancer. The first time you use any type of tobacco product, it may begin the road to cancer. It doesn't matter if you smoke once per week or once per month, the stage has been set for something to happen to your health. This can become a habit that can't be controlled down the road. Since smoking anything isn't normal for the body, ( your body needs only nutritional food and water to survive ), anything like smoking that your body doesn't need for you to survive is a possible cause for some disease. Like everything in life, there are exceptions to every rule. I myself have known people who started smoking at an early age, and smoked every day, as much per day as possible, and never became ill because of tobacco use. I've also known people ( more people! ), that rarely ever smoked in their lives and even stopped smoking later in life, and became ill with cancer. I just talked to a friend the other day who developed lung and liver cancer. He's been taking chemotherapy treatments lately to try and stop or slow down the cancer cells. So it's up to you. You're the one who's life will be affected by smoking. I guess it all depends on what you want to do during your life. Enjoy it...or face the possibility of lying around in a hospital receiving treatments for your illness.

tbh I don't know what hookah even is but I do know that doing something once isn't going to kill you. I've tried smoking cigs one or twice and weed and nothing ever happened to me. If you do something once it's nbd usually things only effect you negatively if you do them all the time. It's kind of like junk food, if you eat it once it's fine, if you eat it everyday you'll get the fat. I think the same logic applies to most things :)
