Iron Maiden or Black Sabbath?

I'd go with Black Sabbath....I liked their sound better

Iron Maiden. Black Sabbath were great, but Iron Maiden are just better. Although, there would be no Iron Maiden without Black Sabbath.

Black Sabbath

I really like both of them, however I prefer Iron Maiden, since they are definetly one of my favourite bands. What I really like about Iron Maiden is that contrary to what people say, their music has been changing over time, while still staying in it's original. Iron Maiden's later albums were becoming more and more progressive and together with other albums they create a great collection of some of the greatest heavy metal songs. I also really enjoy the leads and solos of Iron Maiden, they are alwayse well written and performed. Also, I like the melodic riffs in between the famous Iron Maiden style gallop. However, many of those traits that Iron Maiden has would have never happened if not Black Sabbath. In my opinion Tony Iommi could possibly be one of the greatest riff composers in the history of rock, and his riffs are memorable and they are the first ones in the heavy metal genre.

Black Sabbath gets the upper hand for me, but I like Iron Maiden too.

I would have to answer thus: I absolutely love Black Sabbath but Iron Maiden are just the f*cking best band of all time. I don't care if you don't agree. Better get to the fridge as there's a beer with my name on it!

Black Sabbath had Ronnie at one point.

But I love Iron Maiden more that Sabbath, so IM.

Sabbath

Sabbath are legends, but they haven't always put out great albums. Maiden has been consistent for most of their career, so even though both are great bands I'd have to side with Maiden.
