Easiest way to make Egg Nog?
Please don't be to intricate, just the basics.

I love it homemade. I made it last year for the first time. My mom makes it every year for us.

1 egg
1/2 tsp Vanilla
2 T Sugar
1 c Milk
dash of salt
Beat Egg till smooth, thick. Add sugar & salt beating until sugar is dissolved. Beat in Milk & Vanilla. Serve Immediately.
I didn't find my recipe, but this is a simple one from a church cookbook.

One more tip -- since he isn't a drinker, you can add rum extract in lieu of alcohol. :) :)

Here are two.. uncooked eggnog and cooked eggnog.
Easy Eggnog Recipe
Ingredients:
6 eggs
3 cups milk
8 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
Easy Eggnog Recipe Directions:
In a large bowl, beat the eggs using an electric beater (if available).
By turn, add milk & sugar.
Continue beating until mixture thickens slightly.
Add in the vanilla essence & ground nutmeg.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled (at least 2 to 3 hours).
Serves: 8.
Easy Cooked Eggnog
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cook Time: 10 Minutes
Ready In: 2 Hours 30 Minutes
Servings: 12
Ingredients:
12 eggs
1/2 cup white sugar
2 quarts milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Directions:
1. Place the eggs and sugar into a pan, and whisk until light colored and frothy. Whisk in 2 cups of milk until thoroughly blended. Place the pan over medium heat, continuing to stir until the mixture thickens, and coats the back of a wooden spoon, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat, and allow to stand 5 minutes.
2. Stir in the remaining 6 cups of milk, vanilla extract, and nutmeg.
Refrigerate at least 2 to 3 hours to cool thoroughly before serving.

Put all these in a blender - then mix - then chill.
Original recipe makes 3 servings
2 eggs, beaten
3 tablespoons sugar
2 1/3 cups low-fat milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 dash ground nutmeg
