This may not be the answer you are looking for, but it is based in facts.
Roombas are worthless junk, and that they ever work at all is a wonder.
Their batteries are known for having very short life.
Their control circuitry breaks down easily.
Their sensors stop sensing.
The best thing to do is dump the thing in the trash
and use a manual sweeper or a real vacuum cleaner instead.
