What's a good present for a baby boy?

My family does a secret Santa thing, and this year I got my 7 month old nephew. I'm really short on cash, and even more so on ideas. Normally, I'd make something, but I can't knit to save my life, and he's not old enough for cookies yet. Please help!

Eh my best friends mother just had a baby on the 12th and they're getting him some stuffed animals and baby blankets. Maybe a warm blanket. :) They're not too easy to shop for at their age yet. :P

There are lots of age appropriate toys available that don't cost a lot. Luckily 7 month olds are not very picky. I got my 6 month old grandson a toy that when you squeeze it it laughs and laughs and laughs. There are also lots of teething type toys out there. Fisher Price - can't go wrong with them. They know what babies like. It really depends on how much you have to spend. But some of the teething toys are only a couple of dollars and they have other things on up in price. Go to someplace like Target to the baby section and you will find so much to pick from. He should probably be teething about now or in the near future so any of those things would be good. Find something that has a handle or an area they can grab ahold of and makes noise and they will be in heaven.
