Are the NRA predominantly Christians?

The National Rifle Association logic really baffles me. Their statement of 'Good guys with guns stop bad guys with guns' has the same kind of logic I get from hard core right wing Christians.

    Yeah, that statement is out there with the wildest things ever put in a soundbite.

    Guns in every school? That's their solution???? Finally, people are seeing what crazy fanatics they are.

    I'm a Christian, and while I'm not thrilled that guns exist...I believe they are necessary for defense. take the guns away and you'll definitely see some crime because the only ones left with guns will be the criminals.

    By shooting them.

    I guess when the good guy kills the agreed upon bad guy.., the good guy does not necessarily lose his good guy status, as he is in a defensive posture and merely returning fire. Even if that return fire is pre-emptive?

    Church goers are predominantly Christians.
