  • Did obama lie about his faith?

Actions speak louder than words. He called himself a Christian in order to get votes. But he refuses to go to church, and he completely IGNORED the National Day of Prayer today !

  • Obama thinks USA has 57 states... Why?

Now, some things can be a slip of the tongue, but do we really want a guy who has no idea of the basic history of the wonderful USA to play President? Man, he doesn't seem very stable to me....

    How about ya'll?

  • Faith - any comments?

    Faith

What is this thing called faith that we all must have to reach heaven? If we have a question that no one has the answer to, we are told to just have faith. Do we use faith in our daily lives or is faith only related to our religious beliefs?

If we travel by a certain route to get to our job, do we not have total faith that this route will get us to our workplace? Of course, we have proven that this particular road will get us there because it has always led us there in the past. So faith must be trust. We trust in things of which we have had proof and we often trust in information that someone else gives us because it makes sense based on our experiences of the past. We need not experience everything in order to trust in it.

If we have questions regarding our spiritual lives, do we necessarily have to trust that the information is correct when no reasonable proof has been given to us? Are we traitors to our religion if we have difficulty having blind faith? Of course not, there are answers to our every question and we are not traitors if we wish to search for a satisfactory answer. Would we want to place our faith in getting to work without having at least checked a map or taken directions from someone before starting out on that first trip? Definitely not, we would be embarrassed to have anyone know that we had not used common sense in finding our way to work.

And so it is with our faith in God. It is a trust that comes from knowing that we can depend on Him from our experiences in our lives. But before we can have faith we must open a map and check our route, blind faith will get us nowhere.

  • God's Love - do you agree?

    GOD’S LOVE

We are told that God always was and always will be. For now, we must believe this is so and if it is not so, what difference would it make? How does it affect our lives? Knowing this answer would be tremendous knowledge to obtain but our lives would not change for the knowing. Someday, when we have progressed far enough to be reunited with Him, we will have our answer. Of all the questions, which we may have on our journey back to God, this is likely the one, which will take the longest time to discover.

As we progress, we will feel God all around us, the more we progress, the nearer we will come to Him and the more we will feel his presence, for God is Love. He does not only love, He is Love. It is a scientific fact just as we learn of the laws of nature, for example: the law of gravity, the law of condensation. the law of magnetism, the law of karma, the law of love.

The old song "Love Makes the World go Round", is actually true. People are their happiest when they are in love; with a mate, a parent, a child, a friend and eventually with God. Look at the condition of an unloved person. An unloved baby soon dies or is mentally or emotionally crippled for life. If we do not receive love we cannot give it, the reverse is true. If we do not learn to love others we will be alone for no one will love us.

So here is the magic solution to being happy. Even if no one loves us, and we love no one, not even ourselves, we might make an attempt to understand that we are always loved by God no matter who we are or what we do. God is love itself and can do nothing else but love. God is incapable of anything but to love. Let us not bring Him down to our level and attribute to God our sorry human emotions.

Look at the sun, a huge ball of fire, very hot, always hot. The sun cannot decide one day to become cold (not unless God wills it). Think of God in this way, a big something of love, always love, unable to hate. Just as you enjoy basking in the sun’s warmth, learn to bask in God's love. You will make your life so easy, you will need no one else.

  • Spike Lee vs Clint Eastwood?

I wonder what makes spike lee so sure that he had to ask for a liberal right of placing blacks in a movie raising a flag during war, where there weren't any in real life. It seems his lack of education of history makes him look rather dull. He never has touted the extraordinary achievements of George Washington-Carver, one of the most intelligent black men in (and of most men overall),, in all of history.

  • The Bible is the most spiritistic book of all time...?

...after all, spirits (holy spirits - angels) materialized to Abraham, spoke with all the good prophets, taught God's Laws. Moses spoke with God Himself, The Spirit of Truth. Christ levitated above water, could read people's thoughts (claiscentient), see spirits, both angels and demons (clairvoyant), and hear them (claraudient). The most powerful of all spirits under God was the greatest psychic of them all, and all under the direction of God..... NO?
