Faith - any comments?

Faith

What is this thing called faith that we all must have to reach heaven? If we have a question that no one has the answer to, we are told to just have faith. Do we use faith in our daily lives or is faith only related to our religious beliefs?

If we travel by a certain route to get to our job, do we not have total faith that this route will get us to our workplace? Of course, we have proven that this particular road will get us there because it has always led us there in the past. So faith must be trust. We trust in things of which we have had proof and we often trust in information that someone else gives us because it makes sense based on our experiences of the past. We need not experience everything in order to trust in it.

If we have questions regarding our spiritual lives, do we necessarily have to trust that the information is correct when no reasonable proof has been given to us? Are we traitors to our religion if we have difficulty having blind faith? Of course not, there are answers to our every question and we are not traitors if we wish to search for a satisfactory answer. Would we want to place our faith in getting to work without having at least checked a map or taken directions from someone before starting out on that first trip? Definitely not, we would be embarrassed to have anyone know that we had not used common sense in finding our way to work.

And so it is with our faith in God. It is a trust that comes from knowing that we can depend on Him from our experiences in our lives. But before we can have faith we must open a map and check our route, blind faith will get us nowhere.

    Faith = synonym for ignorance.

When we don't have the answer, we say: I don't know. Only the arrogant do otherwise.

by definition, faith is trust. This means it is not presumption. faith is not something you put in ideas, it is something you put in that which is more substantial; like God's love. one cannot accept ideas and doctrines by faith, for ideas are not of the realm of faith. Love is.

Neither is faith an "answer" to a "problem." It is not something that fills a void of uncertainty. That would be pollyanna. Faith is commonly confused with pollyanna and presumption, then spiritualized by a religious school of thought. Faith has nothing to do with traveling without a road map or flicking on a light switch. Faith is about the trust you have in your depths in something greater than yourself; your Source, Higher Power, or God. What you call it doesn't matter, for that is an idea. What matters is your connection and how it serves you in being a more loving person.

it relatively is so very uncooked and real. i like the final 2 strains. This poem is so plenty greater actual than something I even have study in awhile. it somewhat is approximately looking 'faith' and not purely phrases or innovations, a actual answer, that could or won't additionally be there. Too many sheltered human beings take a seat in the back of sheltered partitions and picture they understand what actual existence is approximately. For this lady and maximum of others actual existence is tangible, actual and uncooked. that's no longer approximately fairth innovations phrases and desire. faith isn't faith till that's all we've left perchance. existence isn't approximately what's on the outdoors, it is going plenty deeper, into the exterior and into the pores into the blood and out and in with each breath. Like an onion we are made up of layer upon layer of self. And real residing incorporates admiting and attending to the element the place you arent caught up in pretentiousness, yet are open honest and uncooked. awareness and enhance comes from such perception. Bravo to the author for shooting such uncooked and actual spirit, this could be the terrific poem I even have study in lots of many months. I ought to upload this: this lady's fears are very actual, many anybody is terrified of entering a church terrified of condemnation, judgement. Hmmm isn't religon approximately accepting devoid of judging.... some thing might have long previous amiss....

How many times have you heard successful people say that one of the most important lessons they learned on their journey to success was having faith in themselves?

Now for many this is not only a tall order it's what blocks them from ever succeeding.

What does it mean to have faith in one’s self?

Well basically it means the ability to recognize the value of what it is that you came here to contribute to this planet.

Now many might say that they don't even know what it is that they came here to contribute. If that is you, you are allowing yourself to fall into a state of self doubt that is undermining your connection to your inner wisdom and therefore the awareness of that purpose. You see everyone has a purpose in being here and you simply need to reconnect to it. More on that in another article.

Suppose that you do know what you came here to contribute but are struggling with the value of that contribution here is what you can do.

See yourself making that contribution in some way and then notice what you feel inside yourself and where you feel it.

If you feel any of the following there:

A feeling of lightness, joy, contentment, sense of peace, relief, expansive, open, clear, buoyant, present, energized, radiant, uplifted, inspiration etc.

Then ask yourself whether you like that feeling.

If you do then simply admit that to yourself.

    Then notice how you feel.

You should feel even more anchored in the positive experience you were having before.

Let me explain what has just happened.

In this exercise you have reconnected to your inner wisdom and allowed it to verify for you the importance and value of your contribution here.

The value was communicated to you in the feelings you had when you went through the exercise itself. It is in that feeling that lays the desire and inspiration to propel you forward in achieving your goals and your dreams.

Now that you feel it remembers it and revisit it often. It will sustain you. In fact it is the source of all your passion for contribution and for life itself.

Allowing yourself to do this is what I mean by having faith in yourself.

    Love & Blessings

Faith vs Fear. Both are feelings about the future, one is trusting, the other distrusting. Faith = trust.
