Is is normal to see flashing lights after cataract surgery?

Surgery done on wednesday.

    Not usual at all at this stage. Contact whoever performed the surgery to talk with them, if they are not available today go see a local optician / eye doctor.

    I would contact your surgeon urgently as this can be a complication of cataract surgery. Most surgeon can have an out of hours phone number as well as in office hours.

    Just in case this is your retina, you need to see your surgeon as soon as possible.

    Signs of a detached retina are flashing lights, increase in eye floaters and a dark curtain, if you get any of these after surgery I would contact your surgeon, he or she may look at your retina to make sure it is O.K.
