Why is this genre of music getting pushed aside?
I would like to know why piano and orchestral compositions are becoming more and more obsolete as new trash is being played on the radio. Is there a reason for the decline? Is it the new generation that can't think past their Drake and One Direction nonsense that is ignoring music from Yanni, Enya, Ludovico Einaudi and Roberto Cacciapaglia and affiliated artists? Is it because today's tweens, teens and young adults have not had a chance to be introduced to such wonderful and uplifting music or because they simply refuse to listen to anything other than the same, repetitive rubbish that every radio artist throws up after taking five minutes to write (or have someone else write for them)? I listen to what is popular right now, granted, most of it is stupid, but I also branch out into other genres. I would truly like to know your thoughts on this issue.
BQ: Are you familiar with any of the aforementioned artists?
BQ: Who is your favorite singer/band/composer?
BQ: Will you take time to listen to any or all of the artists I listed? If so, I have provided links below for your enjoyment. If you don't wish to, then that is fine, but just know that there is an entire world of music out there to be explored. If you listen, let me know your thoughts on all or any of the songs I have provided, and if you like them, feel free to find more songs from each artist and other artists like them.

Hey, I'm always open to new things. I don't ever really have a set genre I listen to 24/7. My favourite type of music is blues and classic rock n'roll, but I like all sorts.
BQ: I actually like Enya's work (she's the only one I've heard of out of these - I'll listen to the rest).
BQ2: The Beatles.
BQ3: I'll listen to the other three artists I haven't heard of before, of course. Be right back...
EDIT: I don't have a problem with instrumental music. All of them were really good, and I would like to see more of their work. I'm happy when I find something new every day, so thanks.

Why does it matter if your favourite music isn't on the radio? Only 0.001% of music gets played on the radio. The less people that 'like' your genre, the more clued up the fans in the community are.
I listen to trance and I can honestly say I've never met any other fans that like their music genre as much. Trance is unlike any other genre in that it takes you to another emotional dimension. I mean, there's a reason it's called trance! I'm sure that it's the same for you.
---
I've heard of Enya. That's it.
My favourite producer? Probably Armin van Buuren. I'll admit, I have a very narrow taste in music. I like trance, liquid dubstep, chillstep and some classical/orchestral/piano music. That's pretty much it. People have preferences and to say "I like all music" simply means that you haven't found a genre you truly like. Personally I like a lot of fusions, for example trance-classical(eg Andrew Rayel - Aeon of Revenge) and liquid dubstep-classical (eg remixes, Cyberwave Orchestra).
I'll definitely listen to your suggestions. Right now I'm on my iPod so I can't really listen to them now. I'll listen to them tommorow.
On their own, I find classical/orchestral music quite boring, but there are a lot of influences in both of my favourite genres (trance and liquid dubstep). 75% of trance and liquid dubstep producers have either been classically trained or have been playing the piano/keyboard since before their 10th birthday.
This is the song I'm currently listening to. It doesn't have any classical influences, but as you want to expand people's musical horizons, why don't you expand yours?

1. I have no idea why they are being pushed away. I generally like all types of music when it has a feel to it.
2.Yes Yanni is my favorite out of the above-Rainmaker
3. I don't have oe because as said before I literally love at least one artist in every genre.
4.Already have :)
I think that the people of today have certain tastes in music but if you listen to every genre then you see that they all have something in common-it's all beautiful in its own way.

Hip-hop is my primary form, yet i think of that is difficulty-free (even possibly appropriate) to be sure why maximum human beings would push hip-hop artists aside whilst speaking on an all genres scale. Hip-hop is complicated to guard. no longer even stating the undeniable fact that maximum rap-haters do no longer seem previous the content fabric of hip-hop and the undesirable outcomes it has/does had/have. then you have the subject of the shortcoming of stay instrumentation utilized in hip-hop; whilst it involves evaluating the musical high quality of the production on waiting to Die for e.g., how does that study with the experimentation of pink Floyd of their best? fairly poorly i'd say. I hate that i'm no longer having faith in my own primary form, yet i will actually see the place maximum human beings get those techniques from. we don't could guard the content fabric of hip-hop, we could guard the commonplace of music we produce. it extremely is complicated without extra bands like the Roots. that is no one's fault, hip-hop began out with breaks and sampling, it extremely is merely what hip-hop is. The form gets fairly various attractiveness in all time lists which restores some faith with me yet i've got self assurance the intensity of hip-hop's high quality is the place the subject lies.
