  • When is it appropriate to say 'I love you'?

I'm dating a man I've been in love with since I was seventeen. I met him at work while I was in High School and I was instantly crazy about him. He was older and living with another woman and he was also my manager so I knew I had no chance. We were great friends though. I eventually left that job and graduated, but we stayed in touch.

When I turned 19 he asked me out on a date and I was thrilled, we went out a few times until one night we kissed and from that moment on, I was doomed. We fooled around a bit, and after awhile I told him I wanted a relationship, but he didn't want one. The woman he had been living with had ruined him, and he wasn't ready for anything serious and I was not ok with being someone he only wanted to screw around with.

I was heartbroken and so a friend set me up with someone to keep my mind off of him. I ended up dating this man for nearly three years. We moved in together, got engaged and even had a baby. But I was miserable. He was unfaithful, controlling and emotionally abusive. And I was in love with another man.

We stayed in touch throughout the three years, and stayed friends and about a month ago he told me he had been miserable the entire time as well. I was in the process of leaving my fiance and I told him how I felt.

We've been dating for about three weeks. I know I love him, I always have. It's too soon to say so at this point but when is the appropriate time? And should I say it first? He's the most amazing person I've ever met.

  • How to come up with a title for a book?

I have finally started to write the novel that has been stuck in my head for a while, the only problem is that I can't come up with a title and it's driving me crazy! I have never had this issue before with my other works and this story is very important to me, so I require some help. Here is a little synopsis. It takes place in 1948.

After the death of her mother, twenty-four year old Katy leaves her hometown of Portland and opens a cafe in the little town of Idanha. There she meets Seamus, a scarred and cautious Scottish man whom the community shuns for his questionable past and falls in love with him. When the town members learn of their affair it shakes the town to its core and Katy is forced to learn lessons she never knew she could.

There is a lot more to the story with side characters and such but that is the basics. This story keeps me up at night so help with a name for it would be much appreciated. If more info is required, I will post it up here.

  • Bacterial Vaginosis While Pregnant?

I have had BV twice in the past year and a half and I'm almost certain that I have it again. The first time I had it for about two months because nothing helped until I was finally put on Metronidazole and the second time it cleared up on it's own. I am currently 12 weeks pregnant with my first child and I need to know what treatment options are safest. I have my first OB appointment on the First of July but this is so uncomfortable, I don't think I can wait two weeks. Right now I am using topical Monostat and it soothes the pain and itch for a little while but it's not enough, I also have some Metronidazole left over but it's expired now and I don't dare use it. Is there an over the counter option to help this BV that is safe to use until I can get some medicine from my OB?

  • Tornadoes for Amarillo today?

Last night in Amarillo, TX we had severe thunderstorms, hail and forming tornadoes. If you are in the Amarillo area, have you heard anything about possible threats again for today? So far I have heard severe thunderstorms and hail, possible flooding but I believe that the tornado threat is East of us. Does anyone in the East have any news or anyone in Amarillo have news for tonight? I only ask because I don't have TV and different sources on the internet are giving me different stories. Thanks in advance.

  • What is the title of this book?

Last night I was reading "The Count of Monte Cristo" and this memory of a story I read back in high school came to me, perhaps because the two story lines are similar. It was about a man who attended what I think was a Masquerade and he murders another man and then places his body in a wall that he is building. The murderer has been premeditating for a while about it all, as well. I believe it is a short story and has the word 'Caste" or something to that effect in the title. I was just curious because I remember it being a fantastic story and I would like to read it again. Thank you. :)

  • Any movie suggestions?

I just finished watching the 1988 film "Beaches", which I have seen a hundred times, and now I am in an older movie mood. Does anyone have any suggestions for great older movies like "Beaches" from the 80's and 90's?

  • When and how can I introduce bird seed to my Sparrows?

About a week and a half ago my fiance rescued two baby Sparrows after cutting down their home. We have been feeding them moist, mashed dog food and they are thriving. They have all their feathers, for the most part, and they are starting to perch and wanting to fly. When can they start eating regular bird seed? How do I go about doing this? I know I have to ween them of their moist food but I'm not sure they are even going to eat the seed. I have raised one Sparrow before but he was injured and didn't make it this far along. Has anyone raised baby birds and had success with feeding them regular bird food? Thanks in advance.

  • Opinions on this name for a boy?

    Garen Dakota De La Garza

My fiancé and I love this name, and we aren't sure about the sex of our baby yet, but if it is a boy this is the name we want. I am not a huge fan of Dakota but my fiancé promised his best friend ages ago that he would name a kid after him. I suggested we use it as a middle name because it is not my favorite. Is this a good name?

And yes, De La Garza is his last name.

  • Is this normal with pregnancy?

I just found out that I am pregnant a few days ago. I have a doctor's appointment this Wednesday to find out how far along I am. The thing is, I haven't had actual "morning sickness", I haven't thrown up once; I am only experiencing day long nausea. I can't hardly eat anything and when I find something I can eat, it is in very small amounts and sipping Sprite seems to be the only thing that helps. Is it normal to have nausea all day with no relief? Is is a bad thing that I have not had the tale-tale, throwing up, morning sickness? Has anyone had this problem and is there something that can help with the nausea? Thank you in advance.

  • Why is my fiance's penis hitting my stomach walls during sex?

Sometimes when my fiance and I have sex, I can feel his penis hitting the walls of my stomach. It hits right below my belly button and I can hear a popping noise when this happens and it is so weird and uncomfortable that we have to stop. He is on the larger side, so I am guessing that that is contributing to the problem. Is he really hitting my stomach walls or is there something else there that he could possibly be damaging? Is it because he goes too deep during sex? It is really starting to frustrate me because I have to stop in the middle of us having sex because it is creeping me out and I completely lose my mood when this happens. It doesn't really hurt, it is just an uncomfortable and odd feeling. Can anyone help me with this?

  • Are there any good FanFiction sites?

I'm getting a bit fed up with FanFiction.com due to the fact that all the stories have the same plot, they are not written well and the OC's are usually Mary Sue's. I was wondering if, somewhere out there, a great FanFiction site (still) exists. If this site is somewhere on the internets, please let me know. Merci.

  • Why is this genre of music getting pushed aside?

I would like to know why piano and orchestral compositions are becoming more and more obsolete as new trash is being played on the radio. Is there a reason for the decline? Is it the new generation that can't think past their Drake and One Direction nonsense that is ignoring music from Yanni, Enya, Ludovico Einaudi and Roberto Cacciapaglia and affiliated artists? Is it because today's tweens, teens and young adults have not had a chance to be introduced to such wonderful and uplifting music or because they simply refuse to listen to anything other than the same, repetitive rubbish that every radio artist throws up after taking five minutes to write (or have someone else write for them)? I listen to what is popular right now, granted, most of it is stupid, but I also branch out into other genres. I would truly like to know your thoughts on this issue.

BQ: Are you familiar with any of the aforementioned artists?

BQ: Who is your favorite singer/band/composer?

BQ: Will you take time to listen to any or all of the artists I listed? If so, I have provided links below for your enjoyment. If you don't wish to, then that is fine, but just know that there is an entire world of music out there to be explored. If you listen, let me know your thoughts on all or any of the songs I have provided, and if you like them, feel free to find more songs from each artist and other artists like them.

  • How do I transfer books to my Nook from the computer?

My mom gave me her Nook yesterday because she purchased a Tablet. I have the cord, obviously, but when I bought Les Miserables on my computer today it wouldn't transfer to my Nook. It shows that I purchased the book on the Barnes and Noble website but I cannot figure out how to get it onto the Nook. I cannot get my Wi-fi to work, so I can't do it that way. It is just the simple Nook, not the light or color one.

  • Best area of my body to tattoo?

I want to get my first tattoo for Christmas, but I'm not sure where to put said tattoo. The tattoo I want is a quote from my favorite book, Jane Eyre. The quote is as follows, “I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.” This will be done in cursive or in an elegant font.

I was thinking about getting it tattooed on my forearm, but I am a waitress and I would have to wear a long sleeved shirt every shift if I chose to have it there and I really don't want to have to do that. My question is, where should/could this tattoo go? I want to be able to see it, so my back isn't a viable option for me. I want to be able to hide it during work, but be able to see it when I'm off.

    BQ: Where is your tattoo?

BQ: How old where you when you got your first tattoo?

    Thanks. :)

  • How to write in a Scottish accent?

I'm going to be writing a story where one of the main characters is Scottish and I was wondering how I should go about this. I don't want to spell out every word exactly the way a Scottish speaker would speak them: for example, if I typed it out the sentence,"Never mind drinks for everyone, what are you doing here?" exactly as it sounds it would look like, "Ne'er min' drinks fur a' fowk, whit ur ye daein' haur?" and that looks and feels so fake to me. But I don't want to type it the way I would say it with my American accent and leave it up to the readers imagination. How do I find the perfect balance with this? How do I make the accent believable and not cheesy?

Thanks for the advice in advance. Also, the setting of my story is post WWII, so obviously the words and slang are going to be a bit different when my character speaks.

  • Is this a good plot idea for a book?

This idea came to me the other night and I cannot stop obsessing over it, so I thought I would run it by the Answers community before I started delving into it. I will write it regardless, but I want some input.

After a tornado rips through twenty-two year old Katy's hometown, she finally decides to leave to pursue her life's dream; opening her own Cafe/Jazz Bar, but when she meets a scarred and cautious Scottish man whom the community shuns for his questionable past and falls in love with him, it shakes the small town to it's core and forces Katy to rethink what is truly important to her and what she must fight for.

There you go. Please let me know what you think.

BQ: I want it to be a Historical Fiction story, but I can't think of what era to base it out of. Any ideas?

BQ: Katy's name and age are subject to change and I haven't found a name for my Scottish man yet. Any suggestions?

    Thank you all in advance.

  • Should I use Wattpad?

I love to write and I have a few book ideas. I want to know if using Wattpad is worth it. My story ideas aren't teeny-bop romance deals and I just want to make sure that that isn't all that is on this website. What I have in mind is more of a classical writing style with deeper and more serious themes. If I'm not writing all about vampires and teenagers and that nonsense, will my stories fit in? Has anyone shared a story on this site? Is it a good place to get a readership going and will I get criticism for my work? Also, how difficult is it to publish works from this website? Please share your experiences as a writer and a reader with Wattpad. Thanks in advance.

  • I'm terrified to go to sleep at night?

I am at my wits end here. Back in July I suffered a terrible "trip" on synthetic weed. I haven't touched a drug since. My trip involved a horrible feeling of Deja Vu and it was as if I was in a coma, reliving things over and over...even talking about it triggers bad things. I have episodes everyday, ranging from small to catastrophic. I have been suffering the side effects from this trip every day since July 15th. I believe I am suffering from Depersonalization/ Derealization.

Now, I am not trying to diagnose myself. The thing is, I can't afford to go to the doctor, I only have a part time job at Pizza Hut and my fiance's job only covers bills and food. I was seeing a Therapist until I found out that my Medicaid only covers Women's Health (like my Birth Control Pills) so I had to stop going and I cannot, for the life of me, find out how to apply for full coverage Medicaid in Texas.

It seems to be worse at night. I have very vivid dreams, my panic attacks are more frequent, I am terrified to go to sleep. I don't know what to do. I feel alone in this, I feel crazy, I am terrified all the time that I am completely losing my grip on reality. My fiance can only do so much.

If anyone has any advice on what I can do, it would be so very helpful. Thank you.
