Is boxing dying or making a comeback?

Are the network broadcasts of late a sign of boxing becoming popular again like in the 80's, or is it a last, desperate attempt to rejuvenate the dying sport?

Boxing was never dying but it is making a surge.

    A) The richest athlete in the last year was Mayweather.

    B) Mayweather/ Cotto was the best PPV numbers since Mayweather De La Hoya (its the 2nd highest non Heavyweight PPV) during a recession.

    C) Marquez/ Pacquiao 4 did a million in PPV.

    D) The Klitschkos are selling out soccer stadiums in Europe.

    E) Now boxing is returing to network TV. The IBF title fight featuring Leo Santa Cruz on CBS from Golden Boy did about 1.5 million views. That doesn't sound like a dead sport to me.

Easier access by the fans is what the sport needed.
