Help with stretching my ears please?
I started with an 8g taper to start stretching my ears. I went from a normal ear piercing to 8g (I know I should have started smaller but oh well) and it's been about 2 weeks or so, and now my ear is fine. It hasn't been sore or hurting since the 3rd day after, and it has stopped leaking pus since the first week or so.
My goal size is somewhere around 2g, or maybe 0 or 00.
I want to know how long I should wait to size up to 6g, and all the sizes after up until one of my goals. (SAFELY WITHOUT BLOWOUTS)
P.S. I DID use an acrylic taper my first time, I know now that I wasn't supposed to but it healed fine without infection. Should I most definitely use stainless steel the next time?
P.S.S. Can I change my tapers soon and start wearing a small plug or spirals?

You are stretching horribly, I'm sorry but it's the truth.
Best case scenario for your ears would be for you to downsize completely and let your ears heal. Though they are not sore or red, there could be micro tears or blowout. That is the best advice I could give to you, if you want healthy ears. You should never, EVER, skip sizes.
Knowing how most people are, I doubt that you'll want to downsize, which is understandable. Switch to stainless steal tapers, they are less likely to harbour bacteria when stretching. Tapers, however, are not to be worn as jewellery. They are tools for stretching and plugs and tunnels are jewellery. You should never wear tapers past the 12g point. Just a tip, spirals aren't the greatest jewellery to wear because they too, can stretch unevenly.
You'll want to purchase a stretching balm or ointment. You can check out Holey Butt'r or Hold Fast. They're both vegan and natural, and massage the balm or oil on your ears before stretching. You'll want to wait at least one month for smaller stretches, and when you get up to a 6g start waiting about a month and a half to two months. When you're stretching from a 2g to a 0g, wait about three months because it's a 2mm stretch. There's a 50/50 chance of getting blowout even then, so you'll want to be completely sure that you're ready.
Happy stretching.
