Why did Obama refer to himself 63 times during the eulogy?

Perhaps because the focus of his eulogy was not "gosh, what a great man" and a listing of his accomplishments, but rather how he had positively affected a young Barack Obama. ("...and the way he commanded the respect of an entire nation I think it hinted to me what might be possible in my own life.")

    Calm down.

IDK, but as the others have stated, the fact that you neocons had the actual time to ONLY focus on when he happened to say "I", regardless of the reference or context of what he happened to be referring specifically to is rather... ummm... "not very normal", desperate and pathetic.

You cons need to REALLY get a life.

If you really want to criticize Obama, there are many other, more important things you could mention. This is just pathetic.
