1996 Lincoln Towncar high miles?

That actually sounds like a pretty good deal. It must have been taken good care of. I would rather have a high mileage car that has been taken care of, than a low mileage car that has been neglected.

The car you are looking at must have been in commercial service for some time in order to run up almost three times the average mileage, BUT commercial vehicles are usually maintained, and for only $500, it's a throw away car. If it breaks, it's too cheap to repair. You just call the salvage yard to come and get it, and go find something else to drive.

It's a no brainer.Just presume that it will last you for a year.For $500.? That is the average monthly payment for a car right now. Keep up with the maintenance and it might last you longer than you expected.

these cars last forever. ive seen 80's town cars with over 1 million miles.

expect to get no more than 6 months use out of the car before you leave parts all over the hwy.
