Navy SEAL requirements?
I read that candidates must be between 18-28, but I was wondering that of you make it, and actually become a SEAL, are you decommissioned after you turn 29?

Operative word here..."candidates"....
After you have become a SEAL, you are no longer a candidate and can stay as long as you're eligible. (ie. as long as you can do the job)

No. The key word is candidates. Candidate for the SEALs must be 17-28.
Once your in, you can stay in as long as you can do your job. Having said that, most 40 year old men can't be jumping out of airplanes and kicking in doors anymore. Their bodies simply can't handle it. Therefore, I heard lots of SEALs quit around the age of 35, when they can't keep up anymore.

no, it just means when applying to go to BUD/S that you must be between those ages, after that you can stay as long as you are still able to.
