UPS Package has been "In Transit" for a day now?

Okay, so I ordered a package on Wednesday with 2 day shipping, so I expected it Friday. But then on the tracking system on Friday I noticed the day earlier (Thursday) they rescheduled the shipping and there were adverse weather conditions (this was in another state). It then said it may arrive a day later (today I guess). But yesterday afternoon if had a departure scan from the final destination warehouse so I was assuming it was going to arrive that Friday since it is not far from my house. But that was last night and the tracking system hasn't updated at all. I assumed since they didn't make it to my house by the latest time, they would just go back to the warehouse and try again tomorrow (today). But there was no update in the tracking system, no sort of arrival scan or anything so it still says it is in transit, following an entire day which I see as odd, as I would think that would mean they were driving all night. I am not really inpatient, I am fine if it takes another day, just would like to know what is happening as this has never happened before
