Is $25,000 a reasonable price for this horse?

I am really interested in this horse, he's a 2008 APHA gelding, 16.1 hh he just started showing in 2011 and he's won a few times and he's a really great mover and some decent breeding. Basically he is an all around prospect. Honestly i believe that 25k is a bit much i mean this horse has potential but its not as if he's cleaning up at every event and he just started showing. I am really interested but i guess i the most i would pay would be $6,000. What do you think?

Update:

he is breeders trust enrolled and eligible for gelding plus program and an APHA point earner

Update 2:

I really want to try talking his price down

I haven't actually seen this horse, but from what you tell me, the price is too high. I would say 6-10k is the most I'd pay. He does, as you said, seem to have potential but he isn't, by the sound of it, something that really sticks out as a 25k horse. Talk them down on it!

    Good luck!

Stick to your price, 10k max
