How can I take the glass in the speedometer out in my car?

Got a Ford focus mk2 05 and decided to tint the glass on speedometer blue, this would be so much easier to take the glass out and do it but I have no idea how to remove it, was planning on just doing it as it is and just placing the blue film over it but it will be very defficult due to my large hands, also the bottom of the glass is cracked (was like that when I bought it) the way the crack roots from the bottom makes it seem that it was caused by running over a speed bump at a high speed? I dunno but it looks like it took an almighty whack, so has anyone got any experience on this or could tell me the most effective way to continue? thank you
