Is a guy riding a horse with no saddle unattractive?

Personally I actually adore it when my husband rides bareback and I find it sexy as all get out. Your saddle logic is skewed however. A good saddle properly dispenses your weight on your horses back making it easier for them to carry you despite the actual weight of the saddle. When you ride bareback you focus all your weight on one small area of their back. It sounds like your horse doesn't have a problem carrying you so wouldn't worry too much about it. I have a 14'2 arab and she carries my 180lbs no problems at all in fact because she is use to babysitting kids when I get on her she sees it as a chance to jump over everything in sight!.

I own two western saddles and never use them. I ride and jump my 14 hand pony bareback in my pasture right next to an intersection. If people think its weird than let them think that. If it is comfy for you and the horse and you enjoy it than ride like that. If the people think that it is weird or that you shouldn't ride bareback than that is their opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just nod and go back to riding bareback. Keep up the good work and have fun.

lol who cares what other people think...?? so personally if it wasn't for the sweat especially in summer I would ride bare back all the time! I always thought it was more comfy to just let my feet hang.the stirrups always made my knees hurt and my ankles from rubbing. also I think its hott when a man can ride a horse and show his experience off. keep doing what ur doing. if people judge you its probably bc they either can't ride bareback or is jealous!

btw I just have a quarter horse. she's not very smooth when it comes to going faster than a walk!!! ;) keep it up!! have fun and just leave them in ur dust!!!

It's only unattractive if you can't ride.

It's horrible to see a guy who rides bareback, bounce around on the horse's spine with his hands flapping all over the place.

It's not horrible to see a guy who can ride, ride without a saddle.

Basically, no one is gonna care unless you can't ride.

#2. actually, the reality is, nobody is even thinking what you think they're thinking. you're probably at that awkward stage in life where you think everyone's looking at you when they're really not.

No offense, but men have been riding bareback since forever, so what makes you so different?

you could experience the two bare back or with a saddle. A saddle could be much less complicated for somebody devoid of driving journey, because of fact the saddle keeps one extra table certain and you could shop your feet in the stirrups. bare back is often plenty extra tricky.

Honestly, if you are happy and your horse is happy, I don't see a problem. Who cares what other people think? I personally find it brilliant that you ride bareback. Not a lot of guys like horses (ex-boyfriends told me to chose between my horse or him) so to me, it's great :)

No I don't think it is, but saddles spread weight out better, so it is actually better for the horse if you use a saddle for long rides....provided of course that the saddle fits.

its "unattractive" when guys go bareback and bounce all over the place. as long as you know what you are doing its not weird to me at all. i like when guys go bareback, it shows control. do what makes you happy
