I have just started my electrician apprenticeship working in residential construction sites. I am 27 years old and my boss is paying my $300 now just like the apprentices in the company (aged between 16-21) I'm not sure if that's fair. can anyone tell me how much i should be getting please... also is it true that my boss get higher government reward for employing me as i'm over 24?

If you are over 21, then no it isn't fair if it is based on age. But in this job climate, it's better than nothing. If you have the same experience level as the other apprentices, then it is completely fair. If you're lucky, your boss may see you fit in a higher position much quicker then said 16 year olds.

It relies what the contract says. I do not know the law to your nation but in the united states some jobs are exempt from minimum wage, and it is just a minimum quantity per hour, employers don't seem to be required to pay for a minimal quantity of hours if you happen to don't work that many.
