Does Barcelona even need a coach?
Cricketing Great, Shane Warne once said the only need for a coach is to take the team to the game. Now, with a team like Barça, where a) the majority were taught to play in the same manner, and b) they have pretty much admitted that they arent ever gonna employ a plan B, and most importantly c) doesnt seem to have any overpowering egos- Is a coach anymore important to them than a waterboy?
Any one with some sense could see that this question was tongue in cheek. But I take exception to Mikes comments, and thus must educate him. Ever heard of the great West Indian Cricket team? 15 years as the greatest team in the worlds ultamate tactical game. Guess what their coach did? Drove them to the game. Ever heard of Kenny Dalglish? player-manager, he did better as that than as a manager. Long as you have proper structures in place, a coach is expendable. Football is the least tactically advanced game after the 100m dash, you educated?

lol yes they do, without the coach they might lose discipline and have fights between the team and what not

A coach's job is not just standing when the match is being played. When Pep was the manager he used to spend sleepless nights in his room doing all the tactics n stuff. Barca wasnt this good before Pep. Managers have to do every single tiny stuff to make the team perfect and most of all motivate the players

Of course you would need to stand there first of all pep came to barca in an era were they got third place and were not playing tika taka like today they were playing more like Manchester United with possession football mixed with use of wingers like cr7.. Guardia revolutionized the style of play .. And when guardiola moves to arsenal like he said he wants too you shall see the difference.. Now for Tito do you even watch barca games .. They are playing more different now they still play possession but they are more direct and even change from 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 during the game with a trio of Iniesta fabregas and Pedro which has brought out the best in fabregas just like in the arsenal days.. He has made bold calls like Adriano CB and has his own vision with barca too

Yes to make sure everything is in balance and to deploy the usual tactics. Barca just have such a firm foundation that anyone can step in as coach

Every team needs a coach,He's the one who guides the team and without him the team would be completely lost.So yes,even a great team like Barca needs one to keep them together.
