Why are some pregnant women obsessed with fixing the exact date and seemingly the time of impregnation?

i never obsessed about when we conceived because i know it was to my husband, but i have a feeling it was during our anniversary getaway weekend. we both totally relaxed and it wasn't on a "schedule," which can really ruin the mood. i am pregnant again and don't know the EXACT day that conception occured, but again i have a good idea about it. LOL i think anyone obsessing over date of conception means that they don't know who the father is and are trying to figure it out.

it would be nice to know exactly when a baby will make its grand entrance into our lives, but pregnancy and childbirth are unpredictable. ppl need to simmer down and just enjoy life. traveling isn't recommended towards the end of pregnancy, so i don't see how that could be a reason.

When it happened is due to understanding how old the unborn child would be and roughly working out a due date.

Exact moment - never heard anything of the sort but it is ideal to know a due date to leave work if necessary and set up the nursery :)

These chicks that seem obsessive about it here on Yahoo are trying to work out paternity. They just don't want to admit to having sex with more than one person, so they try to act all sly and think we won't add it all up.
