What do you do to feel better while a beloved pet is slowly dying?

In other words, how do you handle the slow (step-by-step) dying process?

    Just remember the good times. Everybody/animal has to go sometime. Remember the good times and remain positive.

    Realize that pets do not live very long. They are small animals. Realize that your pet is an animal and not a person. Be thankful for the love your pet has given you. Let him/her pass in the most comfortable atmosphere. Cherish the memories of him/her.

    Get another pet when you are ready.
