Do cubs ever see their families again after they are grown?

I know for male lions and the other big cats, once they are about 2 or 3 they leave their pride and/or mothers. I was wondering if once they have left, if they happened to run into their mothers or families again do they still recognize them and are treated friendly or are they treated like any other stranger? I have been trying to find this out, but I can't find any info on this subject.

Thanks for your answer!

Bears are not social animals and don't live in family groups. Once they are grown, they leave and find their own territory. If they move into another bear's territory, regardless if they are related, one will be forced by the other to move out of that territory. I don't know if they recognize each other or not, but the outcome wouldn't be any different. The intruder bear is still seen as competition of resources.
