How to avoid my parent's finding out that my car door isn't the original?

I have a 2002 Ford Taurus. It got smashed by my friend. Another friend and I replaced it. Other than the VIN, the doors look identical. My parents might sell it soon, or take it in for a check up. Would the mechanics look at that? Best way to keep my parents from finding out?

You should tell them but the door should not have a vin. A paper number sure but not a vin

you are going to have to grow up someday may as well be tonight if the parents sell the car with the wrong vin on the door it will screw up all the paper work thanks to you. Its time to stand on your feet and be a man OK? such is life your perents expect you to make mistakes we were your age once you know sadly you did not get it when you smashed the door. You will now. Its time to be a man ace and do what you should have done in the first place your parents deserve better treatment then that after all the years they spent wiping your stinky butt?

Time to be a man not a stupid kid. tell your dad the truth and plan on a lifetime of being honest with yourself first. Things work out a lot better overall. best of luck

You don't need to keep anything from your parent's. If you replaced the door and did a very good job replacing it,don't you think that your parent's would be proud of you for doing the right thing. Don't do them like that ,they deserve the truth,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Just don't say anything, if no one has already noticed I doubt they ever will.

Also if they do find out just act like you never knew. (it could have been a mechanic that accidentally damaged it whilst carrying out repairs on your car in the past. They replaced it and never told you ;))
