Describe In Detail The Beta Wolf's Role In The Pack?

Well im not sure i this will help but we had to do a debate on different topics at college (im doing an animal course) and my friend had to do wolves :) sothis is what i remember :) i know that the beta is the second in command to the alpha. The beta tries to avoid conflict at all costs with the alpha, it causes distractions to stop fighting (for example if 2 are fighting it might start biting them or howling to get their attention) so that the alpha doesnt find out about it. You see the Rockandpopus Regularus attacks on such species like the Idiotus Questionarious and the Mentallyretardus Trollus in packs as to maximise fruits from the hunts (mostly the points) and as to express signs of hilarious banter with their fellow kind. In other words, we do it for the lulz. And I was always annoyed I missed the "Night of 1000 Jokers) but the real world ****** me over... But I do remember (or half remember in other instances) various other exploits and the nights of significance where much joy was made, be it through making each other laugh at our own doings, or at some other poor mortal's expense. But to me some of the best people I have met in the world I met here (you being one) and to me that's just as important, if not more, than any experiences I've had here. And just remember, don't be gone too long, otherwise the pack will hunt you down and drag you back...
