Is it possible or legal for the Assualt weapons ban to pass without the congress or Executive order?

I'm just curious how at risk our rights are right now.

    'Without the Congress or Executive Order"? Then exactly what is passing?

    It will not be done by Executive Order, it will be passed by Congress, if it happens. I wouldn't hold your breath.

    Uh, how? It has to be an Act of Congress, passed by both chambers and signed by the President.

    Also, it only affects sales from that date forward.

    it would have to go through Congress. Executive order won't get it.

    I think we'll immediately see a ban on the size of the magazines......the assault weapon ban won't pass easily.

    I'd be more concerned about your right to live then everyones right to have guns that can kill you.
