Is it true Youtube pays people?

Someone told me that Youtube pays people for getting an amount of views or subscribers.. Is this true? ... And how many views or subscribers?

yeah but I believe if some of the material is copyright some if not all the proceeds go to them. There are better ways of making money online, in fact I myself asked a question here on it 2 days ago.

They pay people through Google Adsense. It is not based on views or subscribers. It's based on how many people click or watch the ad that is displayed before the video.

Advertisers auction a certain amount of money for their ad to be shown. It's usually $0.08-$0.20 per click, known as CPC (cost per click)

Every time someone clicks / views the ad, the person is paid the CPC that that advertiser chose.

So say you have had 200 people click the ad next to the video. Multiple 200 by $0.08 and that's how much money you make for those clicks.

The more subscribers you have, the better chances people view your content, which means more clicks which = more money.

    That's how YouTuber's get paid.
