I started cutting again..I don't know what to do. Any advice?

I started cutting back in 7th grade. My parents caught me at the end of 8th grade year, so I stopped. But tonight..well a lot of things are going on in my life right now & I just want it all to go away..and I know it's not the smart thing to do. So I'd really appreciate it if you didn't lecture me. But it temporarily got rid of the emotional pain. & now I'm not gonna be able to stop. So..now what?

If you don't know about your own self, please consult the same person, who is instrumental in giving you such original suggestions. Please ensure that he is highly reliable, trustworthy and wise. All is well that ends well. Pray. It does lot of wonders in life like a miracle.

I used to cut too. But in the end I found that it just made me feel worse and became almost addictive. I found that my mood changed considerably when I started cutting and I would suggest that you stop now. When you want to cut I would suggest plugging in some really depressing music or complain to a close friend about your problems. I complain often now but am actually a much happier person than when I used to be. Don't keep all that hurt inside of you and go and complain! And don't cut. It really doesn't help :/

    Hope this helped! xD

This problem is that there is a reason you are cutting, it's part something unresolved for you and a method of coping. The key is working on what is causing you to feel so painful and learning healthy ways to cope.

I'd highly suggest talking with someone; a social worker, therapist, psychologist..etc. Someone who is trained as a clinician. There should be at your school, through your work (anonymous), your insurance covers, or many free clinics probably in your area you can get involved with. (google: "your town" free mental health clinic" Please do not feel ashamed to ask for help, many of us do, it's quite normal in the world and circumstances, we as human now live in.

Once you can work through those issue you'll find their release will help you control your emotions much better.

May I ask why it is that you cut? There are other ways to get rid relive your stress other than cutting... more productive. When I get stressed out, I actually get a set of push ups, which is scientifically proven to relieve stress. More productive.

However, is the reason you do it because you wish for attention? You said your parents caught you? Did you let them catch you to get their reaction?

    Also, see a therapist.

It happens, my advice to you is find yourself a new outlet, sports, music, drawing, painting, sculpting.. Something to fill your mind with that will help you and not hurt you. Something that'll make you happy.
