Lord of the Rings: The Third Age not playing on my Xbox 360 console?
My Xbox 360 has the most recent updates, is NOT connected to Xbox Live, and for some reason is unable to play the original Xbox game Lord of the Rings: The Third Age. This game is listed on Microsoft's website as an officially backward compatible game, so I don't understand why it won't play, Any serious suggestions as to how to fix this problem? I simply don't understand why it will not play.
Other original Xbox games work, my console is completely up-to-date with a hard drive, and the disc is no damaged.

Do you see any error messages when you try to play?
If it says you need a hard drive, you need a hard drive. If you have a slim model and bought a cheap one (around $50) from somewhere like Amazon, it's a knockoff and doesn't have the emulator the 360 needs to play the backwards compatible games. If it is saying there may be an update, you need to download this http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx... or connect to Xbox Live and start the game up for it to automatically update. If you have the update and an official hard drive, make sure the disk is not damaged. Try another original Xbox game that's compatible with the 360.

i'd in my view choose for Halo 3: ODST, you get a great single participant campaign plus the Halo 3 multiplayer disk which provides lots extra fee to the interest, multiplayer is what makes the Halo sequence great.
