MRAs, why do you dismiss your more radical compatriots as "not real MRAs?"?

I have met many MRAs who truly believe rape should be completely legal, domestic violence deemed as acceptable punishment to discipline rebellious women, young girls to be sold as sex-slaves, contraceptives to be banned as they're luxuries and some even want all women dead.

I have met many women and men who are Feminist.

I myself consider myself to be a Feminist and I don't hate men or heterosexual sex, nor am I a lesbian, overweight, hideously ugly or any of the other stereotypes created by angry MRAs. I don't know any Feminists who hate men, they just desire equality around the world.

They have accomplished nothing and they never will.

As for No True Scotsmen, we can see that Feminists™, MRA™s, Muslims, Grüne, Democrats, Christians, Satanists, yes even Scotsmen™ all have the same kind of problem: Anyone can claim to be a member and then claim to speak and/or act for the Group and hold the same views.

What do you do when some kook claims to be one of you and then speaks garbage on your behalf? Revoke their membership card is about the most we can do.

Added: By the way, Ulrike Meinhof was a famous Feminist™, before she was murdered, but I rarely hear her name mentioned by Feminists™ writing about Feminism™'s contributors. And I cannot say I have EVER heard any MRA™s mention her as a 'typical' Feminist™. Perhaps BOTH factions agree with your view about radicals.

On a general level - Men's RIGHTS Activists are concerned with genuinely equalising rights - which means reducing some areas of women's privilege back to the same level as men's privileges - thus creating a genuinely equal society AGAIN.

Not sure if you identify as a feminist, but you have also said that misandry is acceptable, therefore the issues of unfair custody and general court bias, social/legal acceptance of violence against men by women, up to and including death, are acceptable and should not be solved. I see no reason why I should think of you as any better than any woman-hater. "Feminists have addressed and discredited the radicals in the movement"--this is blatantly false and you know it.

Y!A is a diverse kind of internet crew, and that i do not recognize if i will meet any of you in human being. yet i'm element of the gay Christian community, have met a lot of my on-line pals there in genuine life, and they were fantastically a lot precisely how they portrayed themselves. i imagine that replaced into genuine because of shared values, faith and adventure. So if so, adult men I met at a GCN convention were a lot as i presumed they could be, and on-line friendships are starting to be IRL friendships. people on Y!A, on the different hand, are a mixed bag. some people i don't believe of even exist except in trolldom. One human being i presumed I knew disappeared unexpectedly. And others look genuine and authentic. i imagine the "question - answer" format does not lend itself to forming genuine community. That basically isn't the reported purpose of Y!A. and that i echo Enno's difficulty about youthful people assembly people from on-line. they could continually have a figure or protector with them to make positive they don't meet someone risky. usual, i imagine on-line friendships might want to change right into a springboard in route of genuine-life friendships. at times that works, in different situations, not.
