my watch ticks kinda loud, any way to change it?

just recieved a timex expedition watch for christmas. in dead silence i can hear it ticking. i can hear it ticking across my room right now when im not even wearing it. i do have very good hearing btw.

is there anyway a watch person can make it so it doesnt make noise when the seconds hand moves?

I want to take it to a watch repair place to see but there not open for a while. anyone have suggestions?

    you may not be able to change it so exchange it
