What would you do?..?
My 18 year old nephew just told me today he got a girl pregnant. The girl is 17. Xmas is tomorrow . I decided to keep this info to myself until the holiday is over. But it sucks to be the bearer of upsetting news when I'm the peace keeper in the family.

I completely understand, I'm always trying to be neutral in family discord. But yes if your nephew has confided in you don't take it as a burden, its a sign of his trust. Bear it with a smile because when loved ones are in situations like that they need all the support they can get. You are a very good uncle! Don't take this as upsetting news because this is going to be his life from now on. Just love him, enjoy having your family around, and be thankful that you can still have him around to tell you things like this.

I think you should talk to your nephew more. Are you sure he wants you to be the one that gives the news? Definitely wait until the holidays are over but just discuss it with your nephew. Let him know that you are uncomfortable being the one to tell the family. Anyway, I know it can be hard but you did nothing wrong so don't worry. Good luck and happy holidays :)
