On day 4 of quitting smoking with Alen Carr ?
Hi...been smoking for last 17 years.(tried countless efforts to quit)...have quit for 15 days each ...once with the help of patch and cold turkey the other time....but again started with smoking friends and co workers....now I have read Alen Carr easy way to quit smoking in past, tried to read only way to permanently stop smoking (but as it takes lot of time to read the whole book, left some portions and chapters)...and few days back listen to the audio of easy way to stop smoking.....and right after completing the tape...I smoked once cigarette and quit...first two days were fine but today ( day 4) and feeling the pangs regularly....which should not be there according to Alen Carr method...whats wrong ? It was easy on first 2-3 days but now it is getting bit difficult...I know I need will power to not to smoke another but Allen car method does not need will power....so what to do now...
any suggestions....

Thank but sadly no clinic is here in this country where I am at the moment...so all I have is the books and audio.....:(

Simply - you're not following the method.
You say that you know you'll need willpower, but you don't...that's the whole point of Easyway, not just are you currently feeling that you need willpower to stop yourself but the fact that you think willpower is the way to prevent smoking shows you haven't been following the method correctly.
I had the exact same problem when I used the book and PC software, despite reading the book multiple times and seeing the method would work...so much so I recommended the book to many friends, all of whom quit with the book successfully...for some reason it just wasn't gelling for me. The longest I went with Easyway book was about two weeks, and it took willpower...
For a little background I smoked 20 per day for 11 years...despite suffering life-threatening chest infections and minor strokes as a result, I also HATED smoking but just couldn't quit. Prior to Easyway I tried NRT (patches, gum, inhalator, tabs, lozenges - via NHS clinics, support groups and on my own), e-cigarettes, cutting down, changing habits, herbal cigarettes, mouthwash/spray that made cigarettes taste bad, every possible willpower and cold-turkey tip and method, hypnosis, Zyban, and Champix - longest I went was just under 3 months, and I was miserable.
I went to an Easyway clinic - quit easily, I've been smoke-free for 2 and 1/2 years.
You may be like me and struggle to take-in the method via books etc. alone, the clinics present the same information but it's easier to take in a few hours of the method being explained by an advisor with visual aids than trying to take-in the book over days...weeks...months...(if you kept putting it down). I found I kept arguing with the book about various different things, the addiction was allowed to try to rationalise itself against what the book was saying, where as in the clinic I could put across my arguments to an advisor who would be able to counter that argument. With clinics you get one-to-one help, also talking it out with other smokers at the clinic during cigarette breaks helps too. You leave feeling no different, but you are different as it's like you're magically a non-smoker with no cravings or feeling deprived at all.
I STRONGLY suggest you try a clinic.
Remember the book gets you 20% off the clinic, they give one-to-one follow-up appointments should you need it, and they give a full money-back guarantee if it doesn't work for you - you'll probably have a far easier time taking-in the method via a clinic. Trust me, it's worth trying!!

Smoking is without doubt is a potential health hazard to you and your incoming baby. There is not hard and fast rule to quit effectively your ingrained smoking habit. The nicotine deposits in your blood streams and some at your lungs are predisposing risk factors that could affect your fetus development. It takes will power and disciplined to undertake a cold turkey methods and quit the bad habit. Just take it drastically and avoid inhaling the smokes from other smokers. When yearning are becoming unavoidable, take some mentholated candies as a substitute and drink plenty of juices to rehydrate your body from the nicotine accumulations. There is no better way to quit smoking than what you are right now. The choice is yours between good health of your baby and the risk of some health related problems. Do it and never turn your back from this nasty habit!

Different methods work differently for different people. I actually started cutting the filters on my cigarettes down so that the head rush was very intense, over time I just grew very sick of the feeling and began to associate that feeling with cigarettes. That is what finally worked for me after patches and gum and the online quit smoking stuff. Anymore though I just tell my self when I have an urge "you've come this far, why start again." Like I said, this is what worked for me, I really hope you kick the habit.
