20 year old male dating a 14 year old?
I'm writing an essay and we must analyze and look into different situations like this.
One situation is: a man is 18 and starts talking to a 13 year old girl. They become good friends and eventually, when he is 20 and she is 14, he realized he has feelings for her. They met online, live across the county from one another, and don't talk sexually in any way. He plans on not getting into anything or meeting her until she is of age. They talk every day, good and clean video chatting, and their friends know about this.
Would you consider this illegal (based on what is stated above, and not if it was a sexual relationship between the two).

There is nothing illegal about being friends with a minor.

Creepy, but nothing illegal about it. Once they start to talk about sex though or if he tries to meet her BEFORE she turns 18 that would be another matter. Really though a guy that old should be able to find a girl closer to his age that would be mature.

Nothing illegal per se, but what is likely to happen is that they either give in to temptation, or burn out over having to wait so long and abandon the relationship. Wish I had better news.,

My answer is, EWW. An 18 year old talking to a 13 year old is EWW. And a 20 year old talking to a 14 year old is even more EWWWW. It's NOT RIGHT. That's a damn child. Don't be such a perv and find someone your own age and mentality.

Well now a days you have really young girls getting with older guys who really just want one thing and now before you say anything back about that let me tell you this a guy will say anything to get with a young girl and if it was the other way around I am sure the girl would say anything to get with that boy you just can't trust people anymore because they throw around the word love with out really knowing what it means

the legality of this depends on what country they live in.
most people would call it child grooming, which more often than not leads to abuse.
in many countries child grooming is illegal.
