"Winter is Gone...Welcome Spring"...poem for c/c perhaps?

.

A blackbird preens sheen-blue feathers

while cocking gold eyes on it's thunder-dark

flock. Never beaked, stranded, it trusts tethers,

whether, or not, tethers weather the bark

Of crested, not breasted, bluejays. Mean birds.

Gorgeous flappers. Routed by red robins,

when red beaks Springtime song, in lieu of words.

Robins swarm. Advanced schedules of 'bobbins'.

Too advanced. Worms delight in frigid nights.

No rain to flush them birdward. Black, blue, red,

flock away. A sky of Winter delights

resolves to a message, 'Spring is not dead.'

From blackbirds, to Spring, then Winter again.

This is quite normal...notarized 'Amen! '

.

Well versed prose conveying changing moods and seasons that fool us.

The context is written in a metaphorical scheme, meanings askew.

Rhyme scheme notwithstanding a colorful well documented poem.

I like this. The imagery is excellent.

Have I seen God? I see Him every time I see nature.

The sky, the animals, the birds, the seasons.

In the grey of Winter the bright feathers of the birds restore color to the world.

Very nicely written. Shows me that i need to watch the skies of Arizona for the beauty of flight and our feathery friends more often.
