How to treat a Sore throat?

And before you say "Drink lots of tea with honey" ,and "Cough Medicine will really help", or even "gargle hot water with salt", just know that I have already tried those! Please, help me find a way to treat my throat, It's been hurting for days now, and it keeps getting worse.

    Aspirin or Tylenol. Drink something cold to numb your throat.

    Do this at bed time---Mentholatum rub on the front of the neck and wrap with long cloth to keep neck warm,wear this all night and keep warm,turn up the heat.
