My favorite Torah site that has a line by line translation into the English also has a feature where you can hear the Torah chanted in the original Hebrew line by line, and has a line by line transliteration where you can see how it is pronounced.
Here it is:
http://bible.ort.org/books/torahd5.asp
I agree with Zvi's answer about the lesser quality of the 1917 JPS English translation..and for the entire Tanakh I agree and always give the Chabad Complete Jewish Bible link, too..but for *jus*t the Torah portion of the Tanakh (Tanakh is Torah, Nevim, Ketuvim or Law/Teaching, Prophets, and Writings = the Jewish Bible in entirety) the World Ort Navigating the Bible site is my favorite because of the details and the ability to HEAR each Hebrew word pronounced correctly by clicking on the little mic symbol
I wish the Chabad site had their translation side by side with the Hebrew, too.
Enjoy!

rdvampy is wrong. The Torah is the first part of the Hebrew Scripture (what Christians call the 'Old Testament', though the Old Testament is a specifically Christian translation of the Hebrew and, while most verses are similar, it differs from the Hebrew in several ways.)
The link to the Breslov page takes you to the 1917 JPS translation of the entire Hebrew scripture (Torah, Prophets and Writings.). It has both Hebrew and English. The Mechon-Mamre link also takes you to the 1917 JPS translation, but the Hebrew is easier to read, and the page is a little easier to navigate.
http://www.chabad.org/library/bible_cdo/aid/63255/... takes you to the Judaica Press translation with optional Rashi's commentary. In my opinion, it's a better translation.

The Torah IS the Old Testament. The most important being the first 5 -- Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
