Can this get me fired?
I work for walmart and I found out this morning that I have the flu, ill miss 2 days because of this however my manager said even with my Drs note its still an unexcused absence. I missed a day a few weeks ago for the same thing and had a drs note then as well. Does this mean I could be fired?

Most employment is called, "At Will", which means you are vulnerable to firing for any "good" reason. Excessive absence from work might be a reason, but if the boss likes you or needs you, just work out the kinks. Typically, if you call out, that is called an unscheduled absence. With a Dr's note, the next day should be a regular sick day, but the first day you called out is unscheduled.
But really, who plans what day to get sick?
