Entry Level jobs that would suit an Ex-Barista/Ex-Hospitality Worker?

As I have ADHD, I struggle to study full-time. For the time being, I need to study part-time so that I can focus on all my assessments properly and work full-time to pay the bills.

I have been a full-time barista for 3 years, but since beginning a Head Barista position at a new cafe, I am feeling completely burned out and my employer expects a lot of me. I have been expected to open and close the cafe 14 days straight with no days off, and my alarm is usually set at 5am to get to work by 6am.

It has begun to make me feel sick, tired, and overwhelmed. When I try to speak with my employer about these issues, I'm usually just met with a threat to take my job away.

I'm a very hard worker, but I would like to head in a different direction as I'm feeling quite unhappy. I only know hospitality and I'm only 21 years old, so what could potentially be a direction for me?

  • I have the opposite ADD. I also struggle with focusing and I'm a slow learner.

I worked part time in retail for a long time. Now I'm working for a ware house full time. I've also worked 14 days straight in retail. Unless you can get into a 'zone' and try to focus, I wouldn't suggest warehouse work for you, it can be loud and distracting. These are other jobs you could possibly move into.Back Office Assistant.Catering Sales Manager.Director of Hotel Sales.Director of Marketing and Sales.Group Sales Manager.Guest Room Sales Manager.Hotel Manager.Lodging Manager.
