My Kittern Blue was born on 6/18/2012, is too late to get her to learn some commands?

she is fixed and has been since she was 3 months and 3lbs, i have not really had cats before and i was wondering if there was any kind of way to get her to listen better. like commands. i dont expect her to sit or anything just like No, and get down. she is an inside outside kitten

If she's doing something you don't want her to do (example) like getting up on the cupboards tell her firming NO and motion for her to get down. By the way, it's not to late for teaching. You will be teaching kitty on a daily basis with the firm NO + get down. It's up to you to teach kitty what is OK and what things will not be tolerated. Trust me, the know what you're saying to them.

We have an attached garage and I don't want her out there to get into things that might hurt her. Even if she's sitting right by the door and I need to go out to the garage (we have recycling containers in garages) so we are in and out a lot I will tell her NO or stay (like a dog) and she knows exactly what I'm talking about.

All in good time.....they learn quickly. Be consistant in likes and dislikes. Kitty will soon get the picture. It's the consistancy that's important. Kitty may still give it a try as they can be a bit stuborn. However, it's up to you to put kitty in it's place once again.

I have every trust in you that the two of you will do well and learn together.

That is utterly wrong!!!!!! you CAN teach her commands,it's never too late! I've managed to teach my 2 year old cat "sit" when I feed her, simply by saying "sit" repeatedly until she does, and immediately after that I give her the food!

No, it's never too late. And cats learn "tricks" much easier than dogs do. Just be patient and give her treats when she responds.

Snapping your fingers works to get them down off the table, or a spray bottle. Once they get sprayed a few times they'll learn to get off the counter when you pull it out.

They learn but don't learn. They understand those words but may not always listen to you. Our boys understand a lot - but they just don't like you to tell them no and get down. :)

Uh, cats don't work like that. They train *you*, not the other way around.
