Would buying and wearing a H.O.Gs tooth be a violation of the Stolen Valor Act?

I want to be a U.S. Army sniper, but I know the Marine Scout Snipers are the only ones who wear the H.O.Gs tooth, but I know the superstition behind the H.O.Gs tooth, and it is very motivating. Now, if I buy one and wear it, WITHOUT claiming to be a Scout Sniper, would it be a violation of the Stolen Valor Act? Don't be a prick either, I know I haven't earned the right to wear one officially, but I will be a H.O.G and I live by the superstition of the tooth.

Update:

I said don't be a prick. I'm not being a phony or a poser, because I wouldn't be claiming to be something I'm not, I'd still be a civilian. I don't see how it's rude if I'm honoring military superstition by seeing as motivation either.

Update 2:

Okay. I guess I won't. Thanks for the one answer that actually gave me what I was looking for.

Speaking of pricks your a little Childish troll one.

    1. Whats a H.O.G., is it related to a Hog / common pig lol!

    2. "superstition behind the H.O.Gs tooth" . . . . . . . .yeah the poor HOG is DEAD!

    3. How is a pigs tooth related to Valor, and there is no valor in completing a sniper course against static targets, the valor comes far later in combat.

    4. Find anything in common American Law, the Constitution, Deceleration of Independence, the movie script for Men In Black, etc.. etc..

that say specifically H.O.G.s teeth are R.E.S.E.R.V.E.D. for Military S.N.I.P.E.R.S.

No it's not a violation of the Stolen Valor Act. However, you've already said you know the story about how Marine Scout Snipers earn the H.O.G, so WTF do you think you deserve to wear one?

"I know I haven't earned the right to wear one"

Then why would you? and Why would you expect any other type of answer? (especially from Military Members in a Military Forum who DID earn their "bling")
