ac heater not heating 1 room in the house? please read!!! (blows cold air in that vent only)?
my ac heater blows out cold air in my toddlers room. their room is right next to the ac unit (its in the bathroom that connects to their room & ours (split bathroom)) but our room will blow out warm air. is there something I can do to fix their room? we actually have their vent off because their room is warmer with it shut. also we have had the heat on for the last week or so (off and on) and it seems be warming w our town house less and less. today is warmer (35 degrees) than yesterday (28 degrees) but our thermostat hasn't gone over 68 degrees but we got it up to 70 degrees yesterday.
so what could be wrong with it? anything I can fix myself?
also any tips on getting our townhome warmer? cant put a heater in as its a violation of our lease.
its supposed to be a brand new unit we just moved in 4 months ago.

If one room is actually blowing cold air when the unit is in heating, I would check for duct leakage. If the ductwork is not connected properly,it can pull in cold air from where the ducts are located. Remove the grill and check to see that the box meets the floor/ or ceiling drywall. Make sure there are not gaps between the grill box and the floor or ceiling. If there is a gap there, seal it. If your unit is a heat pump or a straight cool with electric heat, 70 degrees on a 28 degree day is not bad. If it is a gas furnace it should be easier to maintain warmer temps. A system with excessive duct leakage will have a hard time keeping your home comfortable.

The fan blows out air interior the warmth mode, yet in ac mode the fan would not artwork? Or its blowing, yet in simple terms no longer chilly? Is the compressor (outdoors unit) working? you are able to not even purchase freon. in case you have in no way finished it before- do no longer attempt to learn now. call around- you are able to can get somebody to learn it for $50, and supply you a value for fixing it. Or help you recognize whats incorrect. Then...you will possibly have some information to artwork with.

It may be some leakage problem. It's your four month old ac unit and you get warranty of your ac unit. So it will be better talk with customer care executive I think they will surely help to solve your problem or you can call for a free service because it is in warranty period.

It probay needs to be re-insulated and i would advise getting you heater thingy vhecked because it probably has a leak or needs to be replaced all together.
