What do you think, would this help?
With all the debate about gun violence, I wanted to bring up an idea. First off, I don't think guns are the problem, but that's not what this is about. I believe we should try to fix the people. A random idea popped into my head. What if we required a mandatory yearly psychologist visit, paid for by the government? It would allow us to profile those that are on the verge of snapping, accurately show how our country's mental health stands, and allow those who need to just talk to do so. It would start at age 13, a yearly visit wouldn't be that intrusive, and we can know who to keep the guns away from. Any ideas? What would happen?
@SS Kitty As I said, it's just a random idea. And the money we would safe from not having to deal with them snapping would be worth it.
@Xtreme If you get the best, then yeah you will. However, there are some that charge about $160 for an hour. And the amount of money we would save from jailing them when they do snap would be worth it.

I really think its a clever idea. But I feel that most people who do hold guns are very stubborn to begin with. And I feel that many would find that it would go against human rights and amendment two. Because in technicality every American citizen has the right to guns. And honestly who's to say that the people we need to keep guns away from can easily hide it. There are many stories out there where people could swear by, that the person who did that would never do such a thing. Albeit, I do believe that a research should be conducted on this because we can always benefit from learning. And helping to concrete your proposal. Hope this helped. Thanks for the thought provoking idea:)

Good concept, but there's an even easier way.
If somebody gets locked up for a violent crime, KEEP THEM THERE. FOR LIFE.
The nut in Webster NY was in prison for an earlier killing. If they had just locked him up and threw away the key, those firemen would still be alive today.
WE KNOW WHO THE DANGEROUS NUTCASES ARE. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO GOT LOCKED UP BEFORE AND THE LIBERAL DO GOODERS LET THEM OUT.
People do NOT change. They only get worse. Once a killer, always a killer. If they killed one person, next time they will kill two or four or 20.
KEEP THEM LOCKED UP FOR LIFE AND 90% OF GUN CRIME NEVER HAPPENS.

How much money is that...
$39,000,000,000
